Galatians 5
Berean Study BibleGreek Study Bible
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not be encumbered once more by a yoke of slavery.1Τ? ?λευθερ?? ?μ?? Χριστ?? ?λευθ?ρωσεν στ?κετε ο?ν κα? μ? π?λιν ζυγ? δουλε?α? ?ν?χεσθε
Take notice: I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all.2?δε ?γ? Πα?λο? λ?γω ?μ?ν ?τι ??ν περιτ?μνησθε Χριστ?? ?μ?? ο?δ?ν ?φελ?σει
Again I testify to every man who gets himself circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law.3μαρτ?ρομαι δ? π?λιν παντ? ?νθρ?π? περιτεμνομ?ν? ?τι ?φειλ?τη? ?στ?ν ?λον τ?ν ν?μον ποι?σαι
You who are trying to be justified by the law have been severed from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.4κατηργ?θητε ?π? Χριστο? ο?τινε? ν?μ? δικαιο?σθε τ?? χ?ριτο? ?ξεπ?σατε
But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the hope of righteousness.5?με?? γ?ρ Πνε?ματι π?στεω? ?λπ?δα δικαιοσ?νη? ?πεκδεχ?μεθα
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. All that matters is faith, expressed through love.6 γ?ρ Χριστ? ?ησο? ο?τε περιτομ? τι ?σχ?ει ο?τε ?κροβυστ?α ?λλ? π?στι? δι’ ?γ?πη? ?νεργουμ?νη
You were running so well. Who has obstructed you from obeying the truth?7?τρ?χετε καλ?? τ?? ?μ?? ?ν?κοψεν ?τ?? ?ληθε?? μ? πε?θεσθαι
Such persuasion does not come from the One who calls you.8? πεισμον? ο?κ το? καλο?ντο? ?μ??
A little yeast leavens the whole batch of dough.9μικρ? ζ?μη ?λον τ? φ?ραμα ζυμο?
I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is troubling you will bear the judgment, whoever he may be.10?γ? π?ποιθα ε?? ?μ?? Κυρ?? ?τι ο?δ?ν ?λλο φρον?σετε ? δ? ταρ?σσων ?μ?? βαστ?σει τ? κρ?μα ?στι? ??ν ?
Now, brothers, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished.11?γ? δ? ?δελφο? ε? περιτομ?ν ?τι κηρ?σσω τ? ?τι δι?κομαι ?ρα κατ?ργηται τ? σκ?νδαλον το? σταυρο?
As for those who are agitating you, I wish they would proceed to emasculate themselves!12?φελον κα? ?ποκ?ψονται ο? ?ναστατο?ντε? ?μ??
For you, brothers, were called to freedom; but do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh. Rather, serve one another in love.13?με?? γ?ρ ?π’ ?λευθερ?? ?κλ?θητε ?δελφο? μ?νον μ? τ?ν ?λευθερ?αν ε?? ?φορμ?ν τ? σαρκ? ?λλ? δι? τ?? ?γ?πη? δουλε?ετε ?λλ?λοι?
The entire law is fulfilled in a single decree: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”14? γ?ρ π?? ν?μο? ?ν? λ?γ? πεπλ?ρωται τ? ?γαπ?σει? τ?ν πλησ?ον σου ?? σεαυτ?ν
But if you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out, or you will be consumed by each other.15ε? δ? ?λλ?λου? δ?κνετε κα? κατεσθ?ετε βλ?πετε μ? ?π’ ?λλ?λων ?ναλωθ?τε
So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.16Λ?γω δ? Πνε?ματι περιπατε?τε κα? ?πιθυμ?αν σαρκ?? ο? μ? τελ?σητε
For the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other, so that you do not do what you want.17? γ?ρ σ?ρξ ?πιθυμε? κατ? το? Πνε?ματο? τ? δ? Πνε?μα κατ? τ?? σαρκ?? τα?τα γ?ρ ?λλ?λοι? ?ντ?κειται ?να μ? ? ??ν θ?λητε τα?τα ποι?τε
But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.18ε? δ? Πνε?ματι ?γεσθε ο?κ ?στ? ?π? ν?μον
The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery;19Φανερ? δ? ?στιν τ? ?ργα τ?? σαρκ?? ?τιν? ?στιν πορνε?α ?καθαρσ?α ?σ?λγεια
idolatry and sorcery; hatred, discord, jealousy, and rage; rivalries, divisions, factions,20ε?δωλολατρ?α φαρμακε?α ?χθραι ?ρι? ζ?λο? θυμο? ?ριθε?αι διχοστασ?αι α?ρ?σει?
and envy; drunkenness, carousing, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.21φθ?νοι μ?θαι κ?μοι κα? τ? ?μοια το?τοι? ? προλ?γω ?μ?ν καθ?? προε?πον ?τι ο? τ? τοια?τα πρ?σσοντε? βασιλε?αν Θεο? ο? κληρονομ?σουσιν
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,22? δ? καρπ?? το? Πνε?ματ?? ?στιν ?γ?πη χαρ? ε?ρ?νη μακροθυμ?α χρηστ?τη? ?γαθωσ?νη π?στι?
gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.23πρα?τη? ?γκρ?τεια κατ? τ?ν τοιο?των ο?κ ?στιν ν?μο?
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.24Ο? δ? το? Χριστο? ?ησο? τ?ν σ?ρκα ?στα?ρωσαν σ?ν το?? παθ?μασιν κα? τα?? ?πιθυμ?αι?
Since we live by the Spirit, let us walk in step with the Spirit.25Ε? ζ?μεν Πνε?ματι Πνε?ματι κα? στοιχ?μεν
Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying one another.26μ? γιν?μεθα κεν?δοξοι ?λλ?λου? προκαλο?μενοι ?λλ?λοι? φθονο?ντε?
